Foothills Academy of Reflexology (FAR) blends the ancient art of reflexology with modern wellness practices to support balance, calm, and overall well-being. Through thoughtfully designed workshops, FAR offers practical, accessible tools that nurture the nervous system, ease discomfort, and support the body’s natural ability to restore harmony.
Foothills Academy of Reflexology (FAR) is a place for wellness, learning, and connection, rooted in the ancient healing practice of reflexology and thoughtfully integrated with modern, trauma-informed approaches. Led by Tanya and Alex, two highly experienced practitioners with over 50 years of combined expertise, FAR offers educational workshops designed to restore balance, ease stress, and support overall well-being.
Beyond reflexology techniques, Tanya and Alex bring a rich depth of life experience into their work, including trauma-informed counselling, coaching, Triple P parenting, and nervous-system education. Their workshops are warm, hands-on, and deeply practical, covering everything from fertility and couples reflexology to baby workshops supporting teething, colic, digestion, and soothing routines.
Whether you are a parent, a couple, or someone seeking natural wellness tools, FAR offers a welcoming space to build confidence, connection, and skills that genuinely make a difference — bringing more balance, calm, and ease into everyday life.

Our Team
With over 25 years of experience in wellness, I bring together a gentle blend of trauma-informed, integrative counselling, coaching, advanced reflexology, somatic awareness, and equine-facilitated coaching. My work is rooted in the understanding that every person is unique, and healing unfolds best when we feel safe, seen, and supported.
Reflexology has become one of my favourite hand on ways to help people slow down, regulate their nervous system, and reconnect with themselves. My approach goes beyond the feet, it’s a whole-person experience. I draw on my background in counselling and nervous-system education to create sessions that are calming, restorative, and tailored to what your mind and body need in that moment.
Whether someone is navigating stress, overwhelm, recovery, trauma, or simply looking to feel better in their everyday life, my intention is always the same: to hold a space free from judgement where you can breathe deeply, soften, and find your way back to balance.
